Starting the next chapter: growing Archlet in the US

Our foundation in the US

The US has been a key market for Archlet from the very beginning. Some of our first enterprise clients, including Gordon Food Service and PepsiCo, are based here. Their trust in us as a long-term partner, together with the strong focus on competitive bidding and advanced sourcing in the US, makes this region important for our continued growth.

Over the years that importance only grew. Winning customers like Walmart, the largest company in the US & even globally, was a clear sign that we needed to be fully present in the market. To support our customers better, strengthen our network, and build more momentum, relocating was not just an idea. It was the natural next step.

Fast forward to summer 2025, I moved to the US. Since then the focus has been simple: build, listen, learn, and execute.

I settled in Philly. You might ask, “why Philadelphia, Lukas, and not Silicon Valley or New York?”

It is a fair question, and I hear it almost every day. The short answer is that I wanted to stay on the East Coast to keep time zones manageable with our teams in Europe. The real reason, though, was a personal one. Julia, my wife, received a research position at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. That made Philly the clear choice for us.

And surprisingly quickly Philly proved to be the right place. The city is incredibly well connected, many of our clients have HQs close by in New Jersey, and long-term partners like NBCU and Comcast are right here in town.

In addition, Jakob, one of my two Co-Founders, spent part of his master’s studies at UPenn. Just like with ETH Zurich, we already have a strong connection to the university and its talent pool.

All in all, Philly has turned out to be a great starting point.

What the first months looked like

My first months were all about staying close to our clients and partners. I spent time on the ground, meeting teams across the country to understand their priorities and how Archlet can support them even better. A few highlights:

Visiting Sazerac in Louisville, Kentucky
Meeting Mohawk Industries in Calhoun, Georgia
Spending time with Grainger in Lake Forest, Illinois
I made several trips to Dallas, Houston, Austin, Atlanta, and New York to reconnect with long term clients, partners, and our US based team. The team is growing and is spread across the country in places like Georgia, Tennessee, California, and even Mexico.

We also invested time in industry events to grow our network and strengthen our presence in the US procurement community.

The result so far

Archlet is experiencing its (by far) strongest year since the company was founded. We are outpacing competition not only in Europe but in the US as well. With major new wins across many categories, we feel more confident than ever in our position as a growing leader in AI powered eSourcing and eAuctions.

And this is only the start. The pace is picking up, the market is responding, and the opportunity ahead is huge.

LFG,
Lukas
